Monarde: a very aromatic flower


Bee is a pretty perennial, also aromatic plant, native to North America.

Much appreciated for its many medicinal properties and its use in cooking, it is nonetheless very decorative.

Planting of the bee

It is recommended to plant the rhizomes in spring leaving a space of about 30 cm between each plant.

Use of bee

This pretty perennial with a bushy port offers very beautiful and particularly fragrant flowers that reveal a lemon scent.

Can be consumed in the form ofinfusion, as an aroma for the tea or simply for its salad flowers, beetle finds many uses in cooking or to treat certain ailments.

It has therapeutic virtues to treat coughs or sore throats.

Finally, note that we often use the dried flowers and leaves of monardium in rotten pots in order to enjoy its sweet lemon scent.

To make dried flowers, just cut fresh flowers early in the morning and hang them upside down in a ventilated room without direct sunlight.
