Fruit trees

More resistant, the new fruit trees

When it comes to fruit trees, you can opt for the varieties from your childhood, nostalgia is always good to grow. But you can also benefit from the innovations of producers, always more concerned with reasoned and reasonable culture.

Thus, in the novelties department, the range developed in partnership with Cerdys producers and Georges Delbard nurseries; producers committed to the MPS approach, the label which guarantees good environmental practices in horticulture. The range includes most varieties of berries: raspberries, Cassis, currants, grapes, blueberries… They were selected for their resistance to drought, disease, their taste qualities and for their large fruits. Innovation also at Botanic® which offers rarer varieties such as cranberries, cranberries, kiwaïs ...

Organic apples

Also very interesting for their resistance to diseases, the two varieties of apple trees Juliet® and Delbard Celest®. The Juliet® organic apple tree allows a

according to the principles of organic farming and has many advantages: it is tolerant to diseases, scab, powdery mildew and not very attractive to aphids. Its apple is firm, crunchy, juicy, sweet and has a very good shelf life, between 5 and 6 months.

As for the Celest® apple tree, it required more than 10 years of research in the orchards of the Georges Delbard nurseries. A variety resistant to diseases, especially scab, it is also suitable for eco-gardeners who are looking for trees requiring little treatment. It produces a large fruit, two-colored, brick red. Slightly tart, crunchy, with a semi-fine texture and good firmness, it can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 months.

These apple trees complete a range of fruit trees naturally resistant to disease, the Ariane apple tree and the Angelys pear tree.

Self-fertile fruit tree

Another novelty to discover, at Botanic, a apricot with red epidermis, resulting from more than 8 years of research in the trial orchards of Darnaud nurseries. It is self-fertile, therefore of high and regular productivity, and suitable for all regions. The flesh of its fruits is light yellow, fragrant when ripe.
